Existing Conditions Assessment & Exploratory Reports
These images are a demonstration of our ability to assemble a team of experts, appropriate for each individual assessment need. Exposures were necessary for this particular project at the Church of Our Lady of the Scapular/St. Stephen in New York City in order to identify the underlying trompe l'oeil. The magnificent artwork was crafted by the studio of Constantino Brumidi, who is said to be the Michelangelo of the United States. Brumidi also performed the decorative painting for the U.S. Capitol Building in the same time period.
The scope of our assessment also included the analysis for the conservation and restoration of the balance of the ecclesiastical art, plaster walls and ceilings, exterior masonry, stained glass, and existing structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing conditions.
