The Altar is the Table of Eucharist. The
Ambo is the Table of the Word. Together they express the unity of the liturgy.

such, baptisteries and the font, in particular, are related in
design, location, and form to the Altar.

for the reserved Blessed Sacrament and Holy Oils, respectively. As such, they
serve as shrines, unto themselves.
When a corpus is placed on a
cross it is called a crucifix. With or

faith and require the highest level of attention to detail.
